Terms

Last changed 2026-07-28. Nine points, no schedule of definitions.

1. What you are getting

A free, hosted opinion about whether an asking price is ordinary, computed from public Etsy listings. You sign in with a Google account. Using it means accepting these nine points.

2. It is an opinion, not an appraisal

The finding is arithmetic over whatever a keyword search returned. It has not seen the object, does not know its condition, size, materials or maker, and cannot tell a hand-thrown mug from a printed one when both match the same words. Treat it as one input among several.

3. Cheap is not the same as good

"Below the usual range" is a statement about a price and nothing else. On handmade work an unusually low price is sometimes information about the work rather than a bargain.

4. Nothing is sold here

No purchase, payment or delivery happens on this site. Every link goes to etsy.com, where any transaction takes place under Etsy's terms and the seller's policies. This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Etsy, Inc.

5. Forty items

That is the ceiling per account, so that one account cannot exhaust the shared Etsy rate limit for everybody else.

6. What you must not do with it

Do not scrape it, do not resell or redistribute the figures, do not use it to assemble a price index or a competing dataset, and do not point the notes at an address that is not yours. Accounts doing any of that may be suspended without notice.

7. The emails

Signing in means agreeing to receive the notes, which are the entire point of the service. They stop the moment you switch them off on your account page, and permanently if you close the account. Nothing else is ever sent — there is no newsletter and no marketing.

8. It may be wrong, late, or absent

Provided as-is, with no warranty. It runs on a free hosting tier and depends on Etsy's API, so it may be unavailable or delayed, and a bad comparison set will produce a confident finding about nothing. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including a purchase made or not made on the strength of a finding.

9. These may change

The date at the top says when they last did; continuing to use the service accepts the change. The service itself may be discontinued at any time, in which case accounts and everything in them are erased.
